In March 2025, Prof. Dr. Margrit Seckelmann gave two lectures in Taiwan. The first lecture, which she gave on 13 March 2025 at a conference at Academia Sinica in Taipei, was entitled ‘An update for a digital Germany? The Online Access Act of 2017 and its amendment in 2024’. She gave the second lecture, entitled ‘Data Governance and Data Strategy,’ on 17 March at the College of Law and Politics, National Chung Hsing University in Taichung. Both lectures were related to the DFG-funded research project ‘Digitisation of Administration in Germany and Taiwan (DigitV)’ and the German-Taiwanese discussion group on public law. There appears to be considerable interest in Taiwan in issues relating to the digitisation of administration in Germany and the European Union's AI Regulation. Conversely, important insights from the two conferences were brought back to Hanover. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to the organisers of the two events, the DigitV project managers and the leaders of the discussion group.
