Introduction to data protection law
As part of the “Responsible Data Science” research project, the Institute for Legal Informatics has published instructional videos on the topic of data protection law. The aim of this course module is to provide an overview of the most relevant data protection issues. The focus is particularly on the legality of processing personal data. Since data protection law applies in many areas where personal data is processed as a result of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lectures also offer insight into other areas of law and other disciplines. The module is intended to raise awareness among students and interested parties and provide an introduction to data protection law.
