January 20, 2026: Interview with Professor Dornis in the Swiss Law Journal (Schweizerische Juristen-Zeitung 1/2026, 103-110) on "Generative AI and Copyright"

An interview on "Generative AI and Copyright," conducted by Professor Dornis, was published in the Swiss Law Journal (Schweizerische Juristen-Zeitung, SJZ). His interview partners are Carlo Scollo Lavizzari, LL.M., partner at Gysin Rechtsanwälte in Basel, expert in IP, e-commerce and competition law, and Prof. Dr. iur. Jacques de Werra, LL.M., Professor of Contract Law and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Geneva, founder of the Centre de droit du numérique/Digital Law Center.

The forum interview in the January issue of SJZ addresses the question of whether copyright infringements occur during the training of generative AI models. This question is the subject of intense international debate, numerous court proceedings are pending worldwide, and some courts have already issued decisions.
