INGRES, the Swiss Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (INGRES), focuses on promoting the understandingand the development of intellectual property and competition law. It regularly organises events, seminars and conferences. The association offers a platform for discussions on current topics and legal developments. INGRES works closely withinternational organizations and institutions in order to support international exchange.
The discussions at this year's "IP Retreat" conference, which INGRES organised together with ETH Zurich, focused on therelationship between the requirements for protection and the scope of protection of intellectual property rights. Professor Dornis spoke about the interfaces between IP law and unfair competition. Among the invited experts were universityprofessors, attorneys and patent attorneys, as well as in-house counsel and judges, including judges from the highest Swisscourts, the Federal Court of Justice, the UPC, the UK High Court and the Dutch Hoge Raad.
