"p-medicine - From data sharing and integration via VPH models to personalized medicine" is a 4-year integrated project co-funded under the European Community’s 7th Framework Programme aiming at developing new tools, IT infrastructure and VPH models to accelerate personalized medicine for the benefit of the patient. In p-medicine 19 partners from 9 European countries and Japan have dedicated themselves to create support and sustain new knowledge and innovative technologies to overcome current problems in clinical research and pave the way for a more individualized therapy.” (http://p-medicine.eu)

IRI is work package leader of work package 5 dealing with the legal and ethical framework and supporting the project e.g. by providing a fine-grained data protection and data security framework for sharing of patient data, taking care of intellectual property issues and further occurring legal matters.
