Research Areas
The main areas of interest of Prof. Metzger's chair are:
- Intellectual property law,
- Information technology law,
- International and European law,
- German civil and commercial law
Special attention is given to international issues of intellectual property rights, legal issues of open source development models, European private law, particularly systematic issues, the international private and commercial law as well as current issues in German private law with special attention being given to comparative legal and economic aspects.
