Axel Metzger

On his 60th birthday, Professor Jürgen Basedow, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, was presented with a Festheft published by the Rabel Journal of Comparative and International Private Law. Axel Metzger, as former Institute research fellow, presented the special issue ("Festheft") to the evening's honouree. Axel Metzger's article is on "Warranties against third party claims under Article 41, 42 CISG" (Die Haftung des Verkäufers für Rechtsmängel gemäß Art. 41, 42 CISG, RabelsZ 73 (2009, 842-865)), an important area in international sales and intellectual property law.
